Jenny Field

Jenny Field is an MBA Student Fellow for Access Venture Partners during the 2010-2011 school year. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently pursuing her MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Upon graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Jenny worked at Verizon Communications in their Retail Markets Development Program that rotated her through three various marketing roles at the company. She further pursued her interests in technology and online marketing by transitioning to work for SendTec Inc., a direct marketing startup company in Florida. After getting a dose of the startup world, Jenny became the first hired employee for another software startup in Florida before trying out her own online marketing consultation business in Denver.

With a clear interest in software and technology, she has gone back to graduate school to focus on and learn more about clean technology, operations management, and organizational management. Since school started, she has taken internships at both Hines, supporting their sustainability marketing, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, assisting in the management of their annual Industry Growth Forum.

In her role as a Fellow, Jenny will use her background and skills to assist in business plan screening and strategic market analysis of selected software and technology segments.

Jenny grew up in Houston playing soccer most of her life and tries to look for local leagues when she has spare time. Her other interests include skiing, hiking and traveling to Spanish-speaking countries.
