Steve Herschleb - Venture Fellow

Steve Herschleb is a 2013 MBA candidate at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado focusing on entrepreneurship and renewable energy. In addition to his studies, Steve is a fellow at CU Cleantech, an organization focused on efficiency technology commercialization through industry partnerships, research collaborations, and student opportunities. At CU Cleantech, he organized and managed the inaugural CU CleanTech New Venture Challenge, a Department of Energy sponsored $100,000 regional efficiency technology business plan competition.

Steve completed his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering in 2007 at Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Flint, MI where he focused on fuel cells. During school he interned with Consumers Energy, the major utility company in Michigan, and at Robert Bosch, LLC, the German automotive supplier. Post-graduation, Steve had several engineering roles in the automotive industry, including a systems engineer in the advanced product development group at Alcoa, and a software engineer at ZF Steering Systems, LLC.

When not at school or working, Steve enjoys the mountains and loves to snowboard, fish, climb, bike, hike, camp, or really anything outdoors. He's also into amateur photography and web development.
